<Q> - <Q> tag is specifing short quotations. The function is similar to <blockquote> tag except that <Q> tag doesn't break lines of the text.For example :- <q>I'll be back</q> - is a popular phrase associated with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Qi - A global standard developed by the Wireless Power consortium for charging electronic products including mobile devices. All devices and wireless charging accessories with the Qi (pronounced "chee") logo will be compatible with each other.
QoS - Quality of Service enables networks to prioritize certain traffic types above others, so that things which are mission critical or latency sensitive gain preferred access to the network over things that are lower priority or can tolerate delay. This is especially useful in Wi-Fi networks using voice or video; the quality of both suffer when encountering latency. APs that offer QoS can provide more access to clients that need it than to those that do not. See 802.11d.
QPair - An app available on select LG devices that lets you receive your smartphone notifications on your tablet. QPair alerts you about incoming calls, messages or app notifications and even lets you respond to messages from your tablet. You can also view recent apps that you’ve used on your smartphone and open them on your tablet.
QR (Quick Reference) Code - A type of barcode that can store more data than a standard barcode. These codes can be read by devices with a barcode scanner app.
QR Barcode / 2D Barcode - A barcode is an optical machine-readable representation of data relating to the object to which it is attached. 2D barcodes are two dimensional.
QSlide - A multitasking feature on select LG devices that lets you open certain apps in a pop-up window. The window can be resized and moved around on the screen on top of other apps, so you can complete tasks without closing your current app. The apps you can access with QSlide are Calculator, Calendar, Email, Notes, File Manager, Videos and Voice Mate.
Quad Band - A device that operates on all four of the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) transmitting frequencies.
Qualitative Metrics - In online marketing, qualitative metrics seek to measure the quality of a customer interaction, and may be subjective in nature. A retailer, as an example, may implement a new product review campaign, compare reviews written before and after the campaign, awarding each review a qualitative score, and then use the relative scored to decide if the campaign was successful.
Quality Score – A complex and partially hidden formula used by search engines that takes CTR and several other factors into account in order to decide whether your keywords are relevant to your ads and landing page. This is multiplied with your max CPC to calculate your Ad Rank to see what your ad position will be.
Queries - Inquiries that are performed about transactions, databases, or other records.
Query Parameter - A VARIABLE=VALUE pair that follows the question mark ("?") in a URL. Example: http://www.example.com/search?q=foo contains the query parameter q=foo
Query Variable - The VARIABLE portion of the VARIABLE=VALUE pair that makes up a query parameter. Variables store information such as search terms entered into a search engine. In the above example, the "q" in "q=foo" is the query variable.
Queue - A queue is a list of jobs that are waiting to be processed. When a job is sent to a queue, it is simply added to the list of jobs. Computer programs often work with queues as a way to order tasks. For example, when the CPU finishes one computation, it will process the next one in the queue.

Quick Remote - An app that lets you use your mobile device as a remote to control all your infrared devices, like your TV, DVD player, set-top box, audio system and more.
Quick Time - a multimedia technology developed by Apple Computer. It is a popular format for creating and storing sound, graphics, and movie (.mov) files. Though it is an Apple technology, QuickTime software is available for both the Mac and the PC.
Quick Memo - A feature on certain mobile devices that lets you draw or write on screenshots using your finger or a stylus. Share your edited screenshots through social networks, text messages or email.
Quick office - An app that lets you create and edit Microsoft® Office text files, presentations and spread sheets all in one place.
QVGA - A resolution size of 320 x 240 pixels, a common resolution for mobile device displays and video captured by mobile devices.
QWERTY Keyboard - A keyboard arranged in the standard layout for English alphabet keyboards. It is named after the first six letters on the top letter row.
QWERTY - This term is used to describe a standard (Latin alphabet-based) keyboard. Why? Because the first six keys in the upper-left part of the keyboard spell out Q-W-E-R-T-Y.
